七夕用英文怎么說(shuō)？
七夕節是中國傳統節日之一，每年農歷（the lunar calendar）七月初七這一天，是我國漢族的傳統節日七夕節。
七夕節有“乞巧”的風(fēng)俗，且由來(lái)已久，古時(shí)年輕女孩子們在這一天乞求巧奪天工的好手藝，同時(shí)會(huì )乞求一段美好姻緣。
七夕節在英語(yǔ)中的表達有很多種，因為七夕節又被叫做“乞巧節”，因此可以稱(chēng)作“The Begging Festival”。
此外還有Double-Seventh Day,Tanabata/’t?n?’ba:t?/festival,Chinese Valentine’s Day,Qixi Festival,而最常用的是“Magpie/?m?ɡpa?/Festival”。“magpie”指的是“喜鵲”。傳說(shuō)牛郎和織女每年于鵲橋（The Magpie-Bridge）相會(huì )，由此就有了“Magpie Festival”的說(shuō)法。而牛郎織女的故事也成為如今七夕節流傳最廣泛的起源傳說(shuō)。

1.The Begging Festival：乞巧節
“乞巧”的這個(gè)“乞”，我們可以說(shuō)beg，也可以用plead這個(gè)詞。plead to be endowed with perfect sewing skills.
2.doing needlework：針線(xiàn)活
七夕有乞巧的風(fēng)俗，乞巧是女孩子為了精進(jìn)自己的女紅手藝，女紅(注：這里的“紅”讀音是“工”，不要讀錯了)，也就是針線(xiàn)活，用英語(yǔ)說(shuō)就是doing needlework。
3.lunar calendar：陰歷
現在通行的陽(yáng)歷是solar calendar。lunar表示“月亮的”，英文名Luna其實(shí)是月亮女神的名字，有取這個(gè)名字的女生是不是覺(jué)得很開(kāi)心呢?
4.cowherd：放牛人，也即牛郎

七夕之夜，未婚女子通常會(huì )向織女星乞巧，也會(huì )乞求姻緣。
